Job Description
Jin Dong Mining is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced Class 4 Drivers to join its operations.
The successful candidates will be responsible for transporting employees, materials, equipment and other company-related items as assigned. They will ensure safe, timely and efficient transportation while complying with road traffic regulations and company safety procedures.
Candidates with previous experience working in mining, construction or industrial environments will have an added advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities

-Ensure that vehicles are roadworthy and properly maintained.
-Report mechanical faults, accidents and vehicle defects to the relevant supervisor.
-Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks, mileage records and fuel consumption records.
-Ensure that all required vehicle documents are valid and available.
-Observe speed limits and company driving policies.
-Follow designated routes and delivery schedules.
-Ensure the safe handling and transportation of company materials.
-Maintain cleanliness and general condition of assigned vehicles.
-Assist with loading and offloading where necessary and safe to do so.
-Adhere to workplace health, safety and environmental regulations.
-Report any road incidents or operational challenges immediately.

Qualifications and Experience

-A minimum of 5 O-Level subjects or equivalent will be an advantage.
-Valid Zimbabwean Class 4 driver's licence.
-Relevant professional driving experience.
-Previous experience in mining, construction or industrial environments will be an added advantage.
-Good knowledge of Zimbabwean road traffic regulations.
-Basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting knowledge.
-Ability to complete vehicle inspection checklists and maintain accurate records.
-Excellent time management and communication skills.
-High levels of discipline, honesty and responsibility.
-Ability to work flexible hours and under minimal supervision.
-A defensive driving certificate will be an added advantage.
