Job Description
Jin Dong Mining is seeking a competent, professional and fluent Chinese Translator to facilitate effective communication between Chinese management, technical personnel and local Zimbabwean employees.

The successful candidate will provide interpretation and translation services during meetings, mining operations, technical discussions, training sessions and general workplace communication.
The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication skills in Chinese and English, with the ability to accurately translate technical information within a mining and steel manufacturing environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

-Translate safety instructions, operational procedures and workplace regulations.
-Assist with employee training sessions involving Chinese technical experts.
-Ensure that technical terminology is accurately interpreted, particularly in mining, engineering and steel manufacturing.
-Maintain confidentiality when handling company information and official documents.
-Assist with communication between different departments.
-Prepare translated reports and other documents when required.
-Help resolve communication barriers between expatriate and local employees.

Qualifications and Experience

-Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English, both spoken and written.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Previous experience working as a Chinese Translator or Interpreter will be an added advantage.
-Knowledge of technical terminology used in mining, engineering, construction or steel manufacturing.
-Ability to translate complex technical instructions accurately.
-Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
-Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
High levels of professionalism, integrity and confidentiality.
Knowledge of Zimbabwean local languages will be an added advantage.
