VACANCY NOTICE:
BUYER/STORES MANAGER

A leading haulage and logistics company is seeking to recruit a highly organized, analytical and commercially savvy Buyer and Stores Manager. This dual responsibility role sits at the height of a busy workshop and fleet operation. The candidate will responsible for managing the end to end procurement process, optimizing inventory control and ensuring a fleet of heavy duty trucks faces minimal/downtime due to parts availability. If you have got a strong background in automotive or heavy vehicles and spare parts procurement combined with strict inventory management capabilities. You are the right candidate for the position.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Source evaluate and purchase heavy duty truck spares, workshop tools, fuel, lubricants, etc
- Obtain and compare competitive quotes from both local and international suppliers to negotiate optimal pricing, payment terms and delivery schedules, etc

Qualifications and Experience

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
-Degree in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Stores Management plus CILT/CIPS qualification

EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 4 to 5 years of practical experience in a dual Buyer/Stores position within the logistics haulage or automotive industries

Technical knowledge: Mandatory, deep understanding of heavy duty truck spare parts (e.g Shacman, Columbia, Volvo, Shacman, etc) and other fleet workshop requirements

Conversant with Zimbabwean statutory procurement regulations import/customs procedures and regional SADC trade.
