Role Overview The Software Development Assistant will support the development, testing, and maintenance of software applications. The role is ideal for a technically strong individual who wants real-world exposure to modern development environments and Agile methodologies.
Duties and Responsibilities
-Assist in designing, coding, testing, and deploying software applications -Participate in system maintenance, debugging, and troubleshooting -Contribute to Agile development processes including sprint planning and stand-ups -Support integration and optimization of systems and enhancements -Assist in documentation of software solutions and technical processes -Ensure system reliability and performance across development and production environments
Qualifications and Experience
-Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field -Strong understanding of programming languages such as JavaScript, PHP, Python, or similar -Basic knowledge of frontend frameworks and technologies (HTML, CSS, etc.) -Familiarity with databases such as MySQL, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL -Understanding of software development principles and design concepts -Knowledge of APIs and system integrations is an added advantage -Exposure to secure coding practices (e.g., OWASP Top 10) is a plus -Understanding of Agile development methodologies -Experience with version control systems such as Git
