Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities: -Design, install, commission and maintain automated control systems for mining and mineral processing plants. -Develop and maintain PLC, HMI and SCADA systems. -Integrate sensors, instrumentation, drives and control equipment. -Troubleshoot automation and control-system faults. -Support automation of crushing, screening, conveying, beneficiation and recycling processes. -Optimise plant control systems to improve production efficiency, recovery and equipment reliability. -Assist with commissioning and upgrading automated processing equipment.
Qualifications and Experience
Requirements: -Degree in Automation Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field. -Practical experience with PLC, HMI, SCADA, industrial automation and control systems. -Experience in mining, mineral processing or industrial automation will be an advantage. -Ability to work at mining and processing sites in Kwekwe, Gweru or Chiredzi.
