➢ Carry out risk assessment for the whole Council ➢ Carry out special audits as and when required ➢ Supervise and lead audit engagements: – planning, coordination and execution ➢ Writes and review audit reports and audit work plans ➢ Carry out investigations on cases of Fraud and irregularities ➢ Monitor implementation of system controls and checks to ensure adherence to set policy and procedures and minimise risks of frauds and errors. ➢ Coordinates Internal Audit staff meetings as guided by the Chief Internal Audit ➢ Any other duty as assigned by the immediate superior
Qualifications and Experience
➢ 5 ‘O’ levels including English Language and Mathematics ➢ Degree in Accounting or Auditing or financial/commercial degree or ➢ Professional qualifications in ACCA or CIMA or CIA ➢ At least 3 years experience in auditing ➢ Three years experience in a Local government environment is an added advantage
