Duties and Responsibilities
-Data collection and management: Gathering qualitative and quantitative data and clean the data. -Conducting Literature reviews: Searching for, reviewing and summarising published literature related to the research topics. -Analysis and Reporting: Performing basic data analysis, creating graphs, preparing reports, presentations and manuscripts for publication. -Land/ Field Operations: Maintain lab equipment, preparing samples. -Administration: Manging project related correspondence, monitoring budgets and attending project meetings -Grant proposal writing: Preparing structured, persuasive proposals to secure funding for specific projects. -Editing of journal articles: Ensuring that manuscript meet high academic standards for publication by focusing on clarity, accuracy and adherence to journal-specific guidelines. -Research proposal writing -Performing other duties as instructed, if essential to the research activities of the supervisor or project which the Research Assistant is assigned.

Qualifications and Experience
First Degree in Freshwater and Fishery Science or Biological Sciences with at least a 2.1 pass. At least one (1) year experience in a research environment
