iloveblackpeople.com is a Pan African Tech Startup looking to build a Global One Afrika. Through our online platform and mobile app, we are working to build a global Pan African Unity Safety Network, something that has never been done before! This will compromise a network of Pan African Schools, Healthcare Facilities, Law firms/Lawyers, Transportation Systems, Accommodation Facilities, Financial Institutions, and Food Facilities.

We are seeking a self-motivated and experienced Part-Time Pan African Community Organizer & Crowdsourcer to help us build One Afrika globally using Pan African Unity! This will be a hybrid position offering flexibility to work remotely and in the office on select days. You’ll be required to be available on the weekends.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
Utilize crowdsourcing techniques to gather content ideas, stories, and perspectives from the Pan African community to help us build One Afrika.
Develop and implement a productive social media plan to build and engage a thriving Pan African community across various platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn).
Create compelling and informative content that celebrates Pan African culture, history, and achievements. This may include text posts, images, infographics, and videos.
Moderate online discussions, fostering a positive and inclusive online space.
Track and analyze social media engagement metrics and adapt strategies accordingly.
Stay up-to-date on current trends and best practices in social media marketing.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure a cohesive online presence.

Qualifications and Experience

Experience/Skills Required:
Minimum 3 years of experience in social media community management and crowdsourcing.
Experience in advocacy and communication, including research on the impact of sanctions on African economies.
Proven experience building and engaging online communities, particularly within the Pan African space.
Strong understanding of Pan African culture, history, and current affairs.
Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to tailor content for different audiences and platforms.
Experience with Hootsuite
Experience in managing social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, LinkedIn)
Experience Managing WhatsApp groups
Experience using Trello or other project management tools
Experience with CMS & CRM. Experience with Nationbuilder will be a plus
Demonstrated success in utilizing crowdsourcing techniques to generate content and engagement.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to track and interpret social media data.
A passion for the Pan African community and a desire to amplify its voice.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficiency in English language; fluency in additional African languages is a plus.
