FACULTY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES AND HUMANITIES
The Communication Science Department is the newest addition to the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities. It houses the undergraduate Hons Bachelor of Communication Science degree. The Department runs Short Courses in Media and Communication, Media and Digital Marketing, Radio Short Story Writing, Graphics and Desktop Publishing as well as housing the British Council B2B Registration Centre Status for IELTS. Furthermore, the Department also runs a flagship of the University and Faculty: Abiyangu FM Radio Station. Duties and Responsibilities

Must possess above average monitoring sense of presence at Radio Station;
Ability to anticipate possible challenges in transmission, equipment failure and HR dimensions;
De facto Station manager when the Station Manager is away;
Focus on global budget growing;
Must play a key role in planning and resource outlay and management.

Developed capacity for management issues;
Capacity to follow through tasks and under guidance.

Qualifications and Experience

Degree in Media and/or Communication and Media or its equivalent;
Hands-on experience and exposure to the broadcasting sector is critical;
Must be a pragmatic executive.
