VACANCY: MAINTENANCE PLANNER (SERVICES)

Operations/Location: Triangle Limited
Reporting To: Maintenance Services Manager

Purpose of the Role
To improve workforce productivity and work quality/efficiency by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of labour, spare parts, material, and equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

-Creates maintenance plans for equipment or assets within own maintenance portfolio and recommends maintenance intervals of equipment.
-Carries out Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) studies for production and service plant.
-Generates maintenance cost reports of equipment and analyses resource utilisation efficiency for individual work centres.
-Implements asset care scorecards and conducts daily artisan walkabouts and inspections.
-Recommends machinery/components for capital replacement based on analysis of time efficiency and total operating cost.
-Scopes the full extent of maintenance work needed to conduct repairs, preventive and predictive maintenance.
-Writes applicable maintenance procedures that promote defect-free maintenance work quality.
-Analyses material usage and equipment conditions and recommends corrective measures.
-Keeps track of asset-related statutory and safety audit findings and ensures timely reviews and close-outs.
-Prepares and monitors the operating budget for the planning section.
-Identifies training and development needs of team members.

Qualifications and Experience

-Diploma in a recognised technical or production trade.
-Recognised qualification and proven proficiency in the SAP Plant Maintenance module.
-Diploma in Administration or Project Management is an added advantage.
-A minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in a Maintenance/Production environment.
-Proficiency in computerised maintenance management systems.
-Effective team leadership and strong analytical skills.
