Sinohydro Corporation, a leading global engineering and construction company, is seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced Low Voltage Electrical Technician to join our technical team at the Tokwe Mukosi Hydropower Project.
Key Responsibilities: - Install, maintain, and repair low voltage electrical systems and components within the hydropower facility. - Conduct fault-finding, diagnostics, and troubleshooting on low voltage systems. - Perform routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance to ensure uninterrupted operations. - Assist in commissioning, upgrades, and system improvements as required. - Ensure all work complies with safety protocols, technical standards, and project requirements. - Collaborate with engineers and technical staff to support operations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Certificate in Low Voltage Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. - Minimum 3 years’ experience in low voltage electrical work (industrial or power project experience preferred). - Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards and low voltage systems. - Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical drawings. - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with minimal supervision. - Hydropower or construction site experience is an added advantage.
