Position: Finance Student Intern
Location: Matobo (1 Position)

Purpose of the Position
The Finance Student Intern will support the Program Finance Officer in the day-to-day operations of the Finance and Administration department. The intern will gain practical exposure to financial management processes within a reputable humanitarian organization while contributing to accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities

-Assist in updating and verifying asset registers, including conducting physical asset counts.
-Participate in stock counts and inventory reconciliation processes.
-Photocopy and file financial documents as required (including fuel and tollgate receipts).
-Assist in preparing monthly variance explanations to ensure timely submission of financial reports.
-Ensure petty cash vouchers are completed accurately before issuance, verifying that:
-All required documentation is attached
-Transactions are properly reviewed and approved by relevant personnel
-Vouchers are clearly completed and comply with petty cash policies
-Dates, amounts, and other details are correctly recorded
-Gather and organize supporting documents for audit purposes, ensuring completeness prior to submission to the Program Finance Officer.
-Uphold and safeguard the financial and accounting integrity of World Vision Zimbabwe.
-Demonstrate commitment to organizational core values and ethical standards.
-Maintain punctuality and make effective use of working hours.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required
-Currently studying towards a Degree in Finance and Accounting.
-Accounts department experience and/or cash handling experience is an added advantage.
Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in:
-Microsoft Excel
-Microsoft Word
-Accounting packages (added advantage)
-Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
-Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity and professionalism.
