Electrician

job Description

VACANCY NOTICE: ELECTRICIAN CLASS 1

An established company in the Plastic Manufacturing industry is looking for 5 x class 1 Electricians. Candidates with a minimum of 5 years of working experience in the plastics industry to handle electrical maintenance, troubleshooting and optimization of plant machinery to ensure minimal downtime and maximum operational efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Conduct and coordinate maintenance on factory machinery and equipment.
* Implement and complete preventative maintenance schedules and programs
* Respond quickly to mechanical and electrical breakdowns for prompt resolution
* Troubleshoot production machinery, electrical control circuits and electronic control systems
* Build and control an inventory of essential machine spares, etc.

Qualifications and Experience

-Class 1 Electrician/Apprentice trained holder of a certificate in Electrical Engineering (HND is an added advantage)
-At least 5 plus years of experience in a plastic manufacturing environment
-Direct experience in plastics processing machinery (e.g. extrusion, stretch blow moulding or injection moulding)
-Hands on attitude and availability to attend to urgent machine breakdowns.
