Duties and Responsibilities

The Job
Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the successful candidate will among other things be responsible for:
Bridging the gap between business objectives and technical solutions. Your key responsibilities include performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, and performing user acceptance testing. Your role is crucial in ensuring effective alignment between business goals and technical implementation.
Duties and Responsibilities
Business Analysis and Process Improvement - collaborating with stakeholders to define and document new processes, analyzing existing processes to identify bottlenecks and areas for optimization, and recommending improvements to enhance operational efficiency by identifying gaps, risks, and opportunities.
•Systems Analysis - evaluating current systems, conducting comprehensive assessments to align existing technology with business needs, collaborating with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications, understanding system architectures and data flows, and assessing the impact of proposed changes on existing systems and processes.
• Requirements Management - collaborating with stakeholders to elicit and document business requirements, analyzing requirements to ensure alignment with business objectives and technical feasibility, facilitating workshops and effective communication for successful implementation, and working with Product Owners to manage the product backlog and prioritize changes based on business needs.
• Documentation and Communication - creating clear and concise documentation, including business requirements, functional and non-functional specifications, user stories, and process flows, and effectively communicating requirements and proposed solutions to stakeholders and development teams.
• Testing and Quality Assurance - defining test scenarios and cases based on business requirements, collaborating with the testing team for comprehensive coverage, conducting user acceptance testing to validate stakeholder expectations, and overseeing the successful completion of User Acceptance Testing, including tracking progress and resolving defects.
• Solution Delivery and Evaluation - ensuring timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs, conducting system demonstrations, providing user training and support, developing communication plans and training materials, supporting change management activities, and conducting solution evaluations to assess performance and value delivered while removing barriers to full realization of value.
• Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement - working with internal and external stakeholders to understand business needs, collaborating to prioritize requirements and manage expectations, and partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery and drive process improvements.

Qualifications and Experience

The Person
The ideal applicant should possess the following minimum qualifications and attributes:
• A degree in information systems, computer science, business or related field
• 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role
Certification in Business Analysis endorsed by IIBA, such as ECBA, is a plus.
Excellent documentation skills including use of Microsoft Visio Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
• Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills
• Knowledge of business analysis best practices and methodologies
Solid understanding of IT processes, software development life cycle (SDLC), agile methodologies and product management principles
• Familiarity with project management tools
• Results-oriented and metrics-driven mindset, with an ability to thrive in a high-performance culture
