POST J: ASSISTANT TILLS SUPERVISOR (1 POST)

Duties and Responsibilities

-Oversee daily front-end operations to ensure efficient and accurate transaction processing.
-Monitor Till Operators to ensure compliance with procedures, performance targets, and customer service standards.
-Report and record price/product changes, and address non-scanning item issues.
-Maintain adequate cash float and ensure availability of front-end consumables.
-Develop and manage staff schedules to ensure sufficient coverage and manage queues effectively.
-Encourage up-selling and cross-selling; ensure staff awareness of current promotions.
-Handle returns professionally and in accordance with store policy.
-Ensure high safety standards; report and manage injury incidents promptly.
-Collect customer feedback to improve service speed, product range, and quality.
-Ensure proper handling of lost & found items, and return used trolleys/baskets to designated areas.
-Enforce adherence to regulatory policies, including exchange rate compliance and forex rules.
-Ensure all staff have clear job descriptions and receive regular training.
-Maintain effective workforce planning and performance monitoring.

Qualifications and Experience

-At least 5 ‘O’ Levels (including Mathematics and English)
-At least a Till Operating Certificate
-At least 1 year experience in the retail FMCG sector
