Applications are invited for the AREA SALES MANAGER position within Baker’s Inn Sales & Distribution Northern Region, Harare. The role is responsible for driving sales performance, improving route efficiency, and leading field sales teams to grow market share and profitability within an assigned area.
Duties and Responsibilities
The candidate will be required to take full charge of all key responsibilities that include but are not limited to the following: -Drive sales volumes and ensure achievement of set route and area fargets. -Structure, monitor, and optimize distribution routes to ensure timely deliveries and efficiency. -Review daily sales, returns, fuel usage, cash collections, and route performance. -Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders. Monitor competitor activities and provide market intelligence to management. -Ensure proper control and utilisation of company assets including vehicles, racks, and crates. -Lead, motivate, and manage sales teams through performance reviews and coaching. -Prepare and submit accurate sales and performance reports for management review.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate should be in possession of the following minimum qualifications: -Degree in Sales and Marketing, Business Management, or a related field. -Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in sales, preferably within an FMCG environment. -At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or area management role. -Strong understanding of route-to-market operations and field sales management.
